Anne Celeste Heche is an American actor, who was renowned for playing a wide range of roles in film, television, and theatre. Rumor has it that Anne did not want to be Laurie Strode, the character in John Carpenter's 1978 horror film Halloween. The part was played by Jaime Lee Curtis. Carpenter says they were interested in her but she turned it down. Anne is unable to recall John Carpenter having contacted her nor offering the role. It is possible that one of her agents declined the role on her behalf, without notifying her. Glen Larson initially selected her for the role of Battlestar Galactica in 1978. He sent a rough script. The actress initially refused the part because the character didn't seem strong. Glen then wrote her a stronger part with Sheba. After having read the initial 25 pages of the The Living Legend script, The Living Legend she accepted immediately. The show ran for one season. She was in Joyride (1977), a film in which she co-starred as well as acted in alongside Desi Arnaz Jr. Melanie Griffith, Robert Carradine.
