Patricia Apollonia Kotero, an American actress and singer has been a model for a while. The most well-known of her works is the star of the 1984 Prince Purple Rain film and lead singer in the girl-group Apollonia 6 Apollonia, a singer/actress born to Prince in 1984 became one of the female artists of the 1980s that benefited from Prince. Patricia Kotero began her acting and modeling career in Santa Monica California, in the latter half of the '70s. This included an appearance on CHiPS. She was the lead female for Prince's Purple Rain in 1984 (at which point he had changed her name). The same year, she was replaced by Vanity as a member of the group Vanity 6 and performed with them under the name Apollonia 6 in the film. Sex Shooter, a song from the soundtrack made a tiny popularity for her group, however when she was Prince's duet partner on Take Me with You she became more popular. Kotero broke up with Prince when they fell out over the future of Apollonia 6. Kotero went on to be featured in various minor roles throughout the time (reportedly refusing to take part in her Purple Rain follow-up Under the Cherry Moon) prior to landing an appearance on the evening-time drama Falcon Crest during 1985-1986. Apollonia was her first public appearance in 1988. But the R&B/dance album, which was rather pedestrian and didn't impress the music buyers of the period, was quickly wiped out. Through the years her career was a full-time actor, with a few film appearances and small TV shows. Apollonia recorded a bilingual album titled Stay With me. The singer returned to the university and received a degree in filmmaking. She then formed her company and worked as a child's TV host. Apollonia Kotero is a multi-faceted person. Apollonia is an actress as well as model, and a former singer. She is famous for her performance in the 1984 movie Purple Rain.
