After her graduation from the high school in Tallahassee, Florida she began her study at Boston University. Later, her studies transferred onto Rhodes College and University of Florida. The actress has always had an interest in the performing arts. In her early years she was enrolled in classes on dancing and acting. She dropped out of college and moved to LA to begin a new career as an actor, making her debut acting appearance in the in the short movie Lucy's Piano. In the following film, she played Alice McKee, in Blood: The Last Vampire fantasy action film blood: 17 Again (2009) she appeared in the film 17 Again. She had her major television breakthrough when she starred in the lead role in the show titled Kings in the year 2009. In addition, she appeared in important roles in shows like Terra Nova Go On and Selfie. In the more recent years she played one of the main roles in the family drama series titled A Million Little Things and an additional role in the series titled 13 Reasons Why.
